1 Stop, drop, cover and roll
If your clothes catch fire stop, drop, cover your face with your hands and roll to smother the flames.
2 Get down low, go go go!
In a fire, the safest area for breathing is near the floor where the air is cooler and cleaner, so remember to crawl low.
3 Check doors for heat before opening
Use the back of your hand to check for heat. If the door is hot, use another exit.
Get fire extinguishers
Ideally polace it at the entrance of the kitchen, bedroom or main entrance.
Install at least one smoke detector
Install on every level of the home
Have at least two exit plans
That adult family members are aware of
Protect what matters
Safety by choice, not by chance
Leave nothing to chance
